How do I put NPCs like in single player [or other players] into a game? Also I have tried creating a Roleplay Server, but every mod I try I can't seem to figure out how to install right, and thus doesn't work. Any help with that would be great to.

I don't have a budget to host a server as it is mainly when I want to play with friends and family.

Sorry... Misunderstood message. (Looking at footer) NPC's acting like players is good, that will do, but how do I do that?
Note: Someone else posted a message earlier. They have since deleted it. I am not a crazy psychopath... don't worry
