I don't think the sa-mp development team would create a version for mac just because your friend has a macbook. There are tons of ways to make Windows programs work on a mac, like emulators, crossover, virtual environments, or more dramaticly, bootcamp.

GTA:SA hasn't been made for OS X, so SA-MP would be useless.
You could try emulating both, if you don't mind playing with 2 FPS.
