Server Won't Work on a Static IP?
#1

So I am trying to host a SAMP server and an FTP server on the same box. The FTPd HAS to be on a static local IP, otherwise it won't work. But I noticed when I put the box on a static local IP the SAMP server would know show up in the SAMP client.

Any help? Also i thought maybe the IP range might be too high because the box is on 192.168.1.86 but dynamic would be 192.168.1.47 or somewhere in there.

The IP Range doesn't matter, I think that the problem is that FTP does use TCP and that SA-MP uses UDP.
So be sure that you have set the correct protocol for your SA-MP port-forward rule.

When I changed the local IP from dynamic to static/reversed I did not mess with the port forwarding. Also I always do UDP and TCP poth for each port. So TCP and UDP 7777, 21 are forwarded.

7777 - UDP

On my router, I had to set a trigger port or something, make sure you do that.

i port forwarded the other day and players entered my server now port forwarding isnt working any more so my ISP must have taken my port forward access away or something

Perhaps your internal IP has changed. That happens occasionally.
