GTA SA crashes every time I try to connect to a server! - themasterbrewer - 22.09.2009

Hey all

I'm a noob to SA-MP and I can't get it working. I have GTA SA Special Edition and I've completed the game, I've not installed any kind of add-ons or mods and it's always worked fine. I installed version 2 of SA-MP, ran it and selected a server from the list by right-clicking and choosing "Connect". It launches GTA SA and the game runs like normal, asking me if I want to start a new game or load a saved game. Whichever option I choose, I then get a blank screen for a second and then it pops back to Windows and says that GTA SA has crashed!

Can anyone help me? Hopefully I'm just being a noob and I've done something stupid...

I got it working!

Sorry for it being such a dumb problem - I did search the forum for "special edition" but nothing came up so I figured that wasn't the problem, but after I installed the downgrader it worked perfectly so I guess it was the problem after all!
