Ban the IP's. Or if it's one IP range, ban the whole range for a while.

Banning IPs on your server doesn't affect DDoS in anyway since server still needs to response to upcomming connection, so you basically do nothing.
The only thing is that your ISP (hoster?) blocks connection to those IPs, so they can't reach server.
