Video card: Radeon or Nvidia? - AiVAMAN - 31.08.2009

Hello, I need an consultation... I am going to buy a new pc, and I want to ask: which video card is better: ATI RADEON HD4730 512MB
or
Nvidia GeForce 9800GT (or whatever it is (the best of 512MB series)) 512MB? Answer me, please if someone knows anything about those two video cards.

Well , i think that ATi Radeon 4730 512mb is better than 9800GT. ( More shader cores , gddr5 memory , etc [9800gt has less shader cores , its gddr3 and maybe its core clock is less than 4730s ] ) Plus 4730 is cheaper
And you meant ATI or Nvidia/GeForce or Radeon ?
btw 512mb video memory isnt enough for the best games today..like gta 4...

Man, I am from Lithuania, and prices are veeery high. There is economic fall, the biggest in the world and no work no money. I got some only for 1tb hdd, 4gb ram, 512mb video card, 22" monitor. ok no off topic. Any way. Thanks for your help.

btw 512mb video memory isnt enough for the best games today..like gta 4...
False, if I have gta 4 on high on 22" Monitor i still have more than 50 mb free on my 512 MB

False, if I have gta 4 on high on 22" Monitor i still have more than 50 mb free on my 512 MB
so you say, that if I have 512mb radeon and 22" monitor i could play gta 4 on highest graphic?

Could you stop saying useless bullshit such as 512MB equals bad gaming. That's wrong, way wrong.

Ok so let me explain. 9800GT is a 8800GT with like 5% better performance. Worth so much more money ?
No, it's not something special, so if you want a 9800GT, buy a 8800GT Ultra or something.

And one more thing, why you wanna buy a 4730, when you can get a 4850 512MB, same stuff for ~100Ђ ?
It's not GDDR5, it's DDR3 but it's still awesome.
