Removing white zones - Benne - 05.07.2009

Hey, could anyone help me.
It's abit annoying I got these white zones if I host a round picture, or a picture with some places that should be the same color as the background color on the website. Like this:

(Found on tinypic.com)

But instead of it gives a picture with a white square around the picture.

You need a .png file, make one in photoshop.

Scream and kick your computer. If that doesn't work, throw it out of a high window, but only as a last resort.

You could zoom in really close and use the paint brush in MS paint if you're really cheap.

=P. Unless you're a really fast clicker - then it's just sad.

Actually I just thought of a better idea!
Print the pictures out, then paint your balls yellow and rub them all over the picture, or if you don't have any balls, borrow a friends'. Then scan the picture back in.
And I mean footballs >.<

It will be transparent at some points.

(This is what you want, right?.... RIGHT?!)

Get Paint.NET (free) and remove the White Zones with the "Magicstick"

That "magicwand" can be found at the Toolbar (F5)

That's not what I mean, it's when you have hosted it, then the white zones shows. What kind of hosting page do you use?

Re: Removing white zones - iLinx - 25.07.2009

um you need something called a transparent background
you can do that in 1 way basically in photoshop

get the picture on there.
select all of the white zone
delete it.
delete all other background colors / layers until you have grey squares in your background
then save it as PNG ( for higher quality ) or as a GIF ( for lower quality but faster loading)

In photoshop you could use the Polygon tool to cut it out.
