Timer Tutorial Help - JoeDaDude - 26.05.2009

Does anyone know of a tutorial about timers?
I have never once understood timers, And need one for my rp,
It checks the player health every 5 seconds and knocks it down by 1 if not had a drink,
But thats not important i just want to understand timers, Anyone help?

Tutorial's on the SA-MP wiki page. It'll tell you everything you need to know. There's not a lot to them really.
