MACs and BootCamp - UberSocks - 24.04.2009

Hey all.

Looking to buy a PC in the near future, but then I heard about MACs and the ability to use BootCamp allowing you to run the Windows OS on the MAC system.

I was wondering what is the reliability of BootCamp? (is it guaranteed that I can run any Windows OS application) Am I actually installing Windows or am I just running something that allows me to run PC applications?

Thanks.

Save like $1500 and build a custom PC >__>

I would say yes to a Mac, but depending on how much space you are going to be using, No.

BootCamp allows you to partition only about a Max of 30GB for Windows, and the rest for Mac, unless you do a CLEAN install of Windows on the HDD.

If you want a Windows PC, I prefer you look on Amazon or TigerDirect.

BootCamp lets your Mac run Windows natively

as for running Windows apps from within Mac OS, i'd look into Parallels/VMware or VirtualBox

btw, Mac OS is a very decent operating system, i love it
