Graphics Card - Norn - 04.04.2009

Hey, well it's my birthday next sunday. (16)

And i'm gonna buy a new graphics card, at the moment i have a Nvidea GeForce 8400GS. It's ok but it can't run games like GTA IV at high quality, and even at low quality there is still some lag.

Any recommendations? If so please include links to UK retailers if possible.

Whats your price range? If price isn't an issue, a 9800GTX+ would be a great choice. Assuming you have a PCI-E slot that is.

You could also go with a cheaper 9800GT or 9600GT.

Don't get the 9800 GTX+, get instead the GTS 250 (1GB DDR3). If it's not a problem for you.

I've got a 9600GT 512Mb, its pretty good, can run most games at full detail.

Me too i have that card. Can run GTA IV on about.. 30-40 fps?

I have a 8600. 8 cards are considered low end now. Bullshit. I run Crysis games at Medium and GTA IV with an average of 30-35 FPS.

Norn, don't get anything lower than an 8800.
