Brand new to this please help - killdahobo99 - 03.04.2009

I'm brand new to this, and tryed to download a script and add it to the samp folder to try it on my own computer (not to make a server out of it) I put the name in the file and changed the Rcon password...
but everytime i try to launch the server the cmd box opens and closes really fast...can someone give me a link on a good server to download, and insturctions on how to put it in the samp folder and launch it please?

I've tryed everything! nothing works!! it doesnt even explain how to do it anywhere! Ive downloaded the following script

In your server.cfg

change it to somthing along the lines of this

echo Executing Server Config...
lanmode 0
rcon_password Changeme
maxplayers 32
port 7777
hostname MyServer
gamemode0 thegamemode 1
filterscripts actions vactions
announce 1
query 1
weburl sa-mp.co.uk
anticheat 0
