OVH 1 vCore VPS can handle 100 players? - RodrigoMSR - 11.03.2019
The OVH VPS SSD1 plan (1 vCore 2GHz + 2GB RAM) can handle 100 simultaneous players and mitigate DDoS attacks correctly? Or Anti-DDoS Game is necessary?
I use MySQL and the MySQL server will run in the same VPS of the SA-MP server, only these two applications will run.
My concern is with the CPU, it seems to be very few for 100 players. My server is a Freeroam.

I used OVH SSD1 plan about 2 years ago and it handled about 150 players easily with about ~30 of the resources. But you need that anti-ddos game, assholes can easily pass by the normal anti-ddos protection and take your server down.

Ovh basic plan mitigate the basics attacks L4, to protect L7 firewall game is required.

Game anti ddos is necessary for sa-mp server.
UDP attacks can easily shut down your server in few moments.
I don't think so there is a game protection on basic vps servers.
I've always used dedicated one.
You can buy it from OVH reseller to make it cheaper, like this one:

The quality of the servers it's not the same, an example: The ram of the servers is DDR3.

If you want be be with ovh, you could check out https://extravm.com/ and get a vps from them in either Canada or France, they resell from ovh using the game servers line that have ovhs game firewall. And there is preset firewall settings for samp.
