Bar Crime Scene - DeadDon - 25.05.2018

Here's another simple map I made, with two objects I've modeled. This is just an Idea i'm throwing out - for detective jobs in RP servers.
There can be labels near curious objects appearing only from really up close (when detectives "investigate"), showing hints for finding the next clue.
The reward can be a murder weapon with a fingerprint and a promotion might come in the department after solving couple of murders.
The map is made simple so it can be mapped quickly, with mostly same objects but they can be placed everywhere. I will be releasing more models in future (therefore check the 0.3DL section). I hope you like it

Code:

Not bad, good work!

Re: Bar Crime Scene - Flashhiee - 26.05.2018

Simple. What i don't get is why is there a dead scientist? Why not somebody else..like a guy who is more likely to visit bars?

@Uproar you are so easy to impress sometimes xD

Is someone a child or just jealous?

It's an example map, and precisely. Why is there a dead scientist? And a laptop? And two suitcases?
Exactly, its a CRIME scene. YOU are supposed to investigate, YOU need to figure it out.

First, this is a simple small map, as explained in description. It's made simple so it can be recreated all-over San Andreas very quickly and simply, on every street corner or interior. Also, the models are just two simple models I created and there will be many more for all kinds of skins - so creators can choose their own.

Second, I'm not trying to impress anyone, especially not you. This is an idea I introduced and shared freely with everyone here just to improve current RP servers and help them differentiate. Everything is the same nowadays, every server has the same story, same systems, organizations and same plot with different names. For those who are not original from the start, I'm inducing a whole new perspective. That's why I publish all my maps free to everyone, that's why I share all my ideas with everyone.

I want this community not just to grow but to improve.
If you checked out my other maps, you would see what I'm trying to achieve.
Such as Meth lab - Los Santos Film Studios - Art Gallery - Vinewood TV Studios - ...
Those maps can be used in RolePlay servers on such unique ways that were never seen in SA:MP before, and I'm truly sorry you can't handle that.

Now please, go make me another apartment, city hall or prison map.

Re: Bar Crime Scene - Uproar - 26.05.2018

Amazing, don't come over SAMP forum to be a dick. What flassshiee said was logically right, and Flasshiee's reputation (on here and his fame on *******) is much more than what you have. Good luck with your future endeavours but I highly doubt if any server will accept you as a mapper with that behaviour.

Re: Bar Crime Scene - Flashhiee - 26.05.2018

@DeadOn I see you like to brag a lot.

It was a simple question. I dont know why you had to take it so personally. Very fine, next time when ill see your maps ill make sure to don't rate or comment. Because it seems that you never heard about critique.

EDIT: Btw, what are those clothes doing on the pool table? Did the scientist had them in the suitcase? Did he pooped his pants and had to change them?

@Flashhiee

I'm 20 yo and I'm having an argument on a forum ahahah
dude, sorry. i misunderstood
truth is, i was lazy to script an example with labels so i just mapped quickly because i thought the idea is awesome, and since i'm not in any projects currently i just thought let's share it and maybe someone finds it useful.

I have a easy trigger for those trolls who don't even have a taste and post just to count their forum ranks - and a critique is always welcome. Feel free to criticize any of my works and thanks
Uproar; I'm in this community since 2009 and on this forum since 2011. Never have I heard of him nor you.

EDIT: Maybe the scientist stole something worthy from a lab and tried to sell it on a black market in a bar, where he demanded cash, a car and a car key, and some clothes because he was in a hurry - but since the thing he was trying to sell was too valuable, the buyer and the scientist got killed and the precious item got stolen.

Ignore bad comments.

The map is pretty good.

Re: Bar Crime Scene - Lannister - 27.05.2018

Not sure how this would work on a role play server. Would the admins have to add and remove the different crime scene maps to when they want them used? If that’s the case it would be better to just implement a in-game object system if they want to create this sort of environment. Also I would’ve thought this would be forcing role play which I’m not a massive fan of, I’d rather let the players create what happens.

Anyway enough of the role play chat, besides that it’s simple and I’ve not seen it done before. Maybe I would suggest doing this on a larger scale; perhaps a full apartment crime scene where there are different rooms which tell different stories.

Good job, your maps are unique keep it going.

The way I imagined it;
as cops on RP servers have a lot of work, why not putting some side jobs/missions as detectives as well...
Some interiors can be used but exterior locations too, objects can be created just for the player or only in the world of the player.

A simple clue system is scripted, which leads one clue to another which finally leads to a solution, but players really need to think. There would be 20-30 different murder scenes/cases, it would be scripted that the player never gets the same case twice and they become harder as you solve more case, with more and harder clues.

After solving some cases you would get a promotion and some cases would take a ride through whole San Andreas to solve it, or find something/somebody (maybe even NPC's added). You can always choose to pursue other activities as a cop.

Thanks a lot by the way, and about the larger and larger scales - those kind of crime scenes would be only for higher and higher level detectives let's say.

I would need a scripter's help to create this since I haven't really touched pawno in a while now. But nobody wants to publish works for everyone free anymore.

Re: Bar Crime Scene - BarbaNegra - 27.05.2018

The idea is very good, I also thought about creating something like this using Actors. For the script I suggest using the crime scene to collect only evidence and also and "lead" possible suspect.
This also gives you to create a morgue job, just have creativity what you have to spare

Sounds more suited for an RPG server rather than a RP server. I'll wait to see how you get on with this, will be interesting.
