Compiling .so on Windows - Slice - 06.02.2009

Hey,
Is there an easy way to compile a .so on Windows? I cba switching to Linux every time I want to test what I've made on the remote server.
I'm totally new to this but if anyone could give me a hint I'd appreciate it.

I use free VMware Server 1 (2 is very slow) http://www.vmware.com/download/server/
And install to them linux
