Hey,
since SA:MP introduced custom models, I started working on a project which allows anyone to upload their own custom models to share it with the SA:MP community. We only accept models, which comply with the SA:MP rules.

Features:
* Unlimited Projects (the term "Project" means the representation of a model or a collection of models)
* Enough download servers and space
* Project Comments (will be activated by one of our staff members - except for members which are registered since at least 4 weeks)
* Project Categories
* Project Stars (like on GitHub)
* All projects will be reviewed by our staff members, before they go online (to ensure no viruses are uploaded or other bullshit)
* Hosting of your dff and txd files for your SA:MP server. 50 MB per user. (Possibility of using the pawn native RedirectDownload to our services, so that your users don't consume your traffic; increases download speed) (Click here for details)
Planned Features/Changes:
* Report System (Project or Comment report)
* Searching via categories
* User notifications (for project/comment activations etc.)

Mainly I like the idea of the platform.
But, personally, I prefer that there is some way to generate profits for a user, say, somehow attach advertising links, or something like that, since the effort of a person, is not always free.
Even so, I support this idea of sharing models on the platform for samp, everyone is free to share their ideas.

Well, I agree and I even thought about a purchasing system for models which shall not be given away for free, but since you can easily obtain any model from a SA:MP server by just connecting to them, it makes it very worthless.
Regarding the advertising links: The problem I see here is that we'd link to remote websites to let the user download the models there. We would not have any control on what is served to the user. It can be a virus, it can be bullshit, it can be anything. The idea behind the project activation is to ensure, that every single model is tested by our team, so that it does not contain any bullshit. Also we currently avoid any dead-linking.

In a ZIP file I would save a link file that will open the browser, and send it to a publicity link, and then you can download and use it.
Well, at least it would be my way of generating profits through advertising, but I do not know if it is allowed on your platform.

@ZaikerH We didn't prohibit this in our rules but we wouldn't accept such projects, sorry. But let's wait for others - maybe they have an idea how to do this.

He registered 'samp-objects.com' and 'samp-models.com', that's why you don't have the .com extention is because it was unavailable.

But what's your point now? And I even didn't say that "I was first" or whatever - even this doesn't matter. I just said, I didn't know that someone else is also working on such a project as I was registering the domain.

Nice that people have started to upload models to it!
Also a little problem I encountered when I clicked on an uploaded models image it would take me directly to the image link, but sometimes a display window would open, but not always.
Please look into that.
