Anyone watches Game of Thrones? - SsHady - 29.08.2017

Hey people!

So, the hype about game of thrones all over the internet is real. I got pretty intrigued by some of it, I watched the trailer of season 7 and I got pretty interested too.

Now, I don't know whether I should watch it or not since I haven't watched a single season of it before. I'm afraid if I start from season 7, I won't have a clue of what is happening.

So, my question basically is should I take the time to watch all the previous seasons first? Or season 7 only might do the thing for me. I'm looking for some entertainment since I'm on my break so, no hard and fast rule.

Yes you do. You need to watch everything from the beginning.
It's not one of those regular shows you see where people start watching and pick everything up along the way.
It's based on a book series, it's planned to run only for 8 seasons and season 7 just ended.
If you start watching just now is like watching the Avengers Infinity War without watching any of the past MCU movies (if you even get the analogy).

So yes, watch it. I promise that you will not regret it.

Sucks that it's not on Netflix. All this exclusivity doesn't help anyone. Now I've gotta go and pirate it. Too bad, HBO, no money from me.

They said that they don't mind piracy, as it helped a lot in promoting the show so far.

Pretty sure it's on Hulu HBO. They do free month trials like Netflix.

You had zombies in the very first scene, and you decided to judge the entire show only by the 1st episode.
Season 1 is just a setup for the great action that takes place. There's a reason this show got so big. It ain't just drama.

There are tits, but the count isn't that high and it goes down as you go further into the series.
The popularity didn't come from there. As I hinted in a previous post, if you want tits, you watch Spartacus.
Like... 30% to 60% of every episode is filled with sex and nudity.

Game of Thrones got big because it reflects the reality of medieval times (discount the supernatural element, of course).
It shows how cruel the society truly was back then. As kids, we get the impression that high borns were living the dream.
Every fairytale we heard, presented gruesome events in a friendly manner. Game of Thrones shows the other side of things.
