Forums over HTTPS? - OneDay - 11.07.2017

Why does HTTPS not work on forum.sa-mp.com? I log in and get a warning each time. Chrome 62 is going to start giving warnings for every HTTP site: https://www.troyhunt.com/life-is-abo...without-https/

The host doesn't have a valid SSL certificate installed.

If i look at the Chrome developers tools, there is not even a SSL certificate installed...

Yes, that's correct. I never intended to say there was one in the first place, I just stated that there isn't a valid one installed. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

I know there is not one, but they are free here https://letsencrypt.org/ and there should be one.

This forum software hasn't been updated since 2010. What makes you think SSL will suddenly be installed? For all we know Kalcor or whoever manages this forum might be dead and the host just keeps billing the credit card until there is nothing left.

There is no reason to stop paying for hosted tab and Kill SA-MP with all these SA-MP communites

In that case I assume that even if everyone stopped paying for hosted tab now there would still be enough credit left to keep the servers running for decades.

Which servers? After all, everyone chooses to host their own, and these forums are supposed to expire 2019-03-31

Thanks mate, but that sucks. You mean to say when it expires on 2019, the SA-MP forums go down? Well that's a bummer. Really wish they don't go down and get updated though. How can you live if there is no SA-MP love....
