i will just put it here i used it and it protected me from small/med size attacks

And actually helped with big attacks at OVH.

it uses IP tables to block the attackers ip.

Cool but using firewall rules from panel is better then using iptables cause in this case the attack is already hitting your server and is consuming bandwidth.

Totally agree but you will just install it and do the configuration and will be automatically activated once the server is under attack, And most of providers doesnt offer hardware firewalls or DDoS Protection
