Can't find a r39-2 wiki, I assume R33 wiki is good for r39 too?
Also, code that was made for r41-2 is compatible on r39-2 script or it has to be changed a bit?

I did not change, a guy asked me to make him a system and he uses r39-2, I use r41-2, I want to know if my code will work for him or if I have to change things.

R33-R39 isn't the same as R40+.
Function-names have been changed a bit and some other stuff too (reversed database and password fieldes in mysql_connect for example).
Tutorial to change R33+ ro R40+:
