Might be another "best host" topic you're seeing, i've ******d many things though, but need to know with good Configuration... on whether which one the 512mb or 1gb package is idle to run a lag-free server with protection against ddos....
Kind Regards.

Buy a vps from blazing fast, depending on your server usage & playerbase, and you're done.
For example i got a 512mb ram vps for my cnr server(pb: 20-30) and 1gb for freeroam server(pb: 50-60), and they are totally ok.

Hello as ILearner said Blazing Fast got a good DDoS Protection, and an awesome support
You may also check Zare.com for the same protection but for a cheaper price.
Or check my thread here:

I would recommend ExtraVM.com or NFOServers.com for VPS hosting.

OVH, NFOServers, DigitalOcean

Digital Ocean doesnt have DDoS Protected
And as xPhantom stated,
NFO - they got an awesome support, awesome hardware and a good ddos protection but if your server got attacked by a strong ddos attack or a botnet they will null your IP Address for 8 hours .
The best solution right now is a Reseller of OVH Gaming DDoS Protection like ExtraVM

It still counts as protection against attacks.
