Game Engine - K0P - 05.07.2016

Hi guys,i decided to make a 2D DM/TDM game, with smooth graphics (No Pixel Art) and some nice animations,i have experience with Gamemaker 8.1 / Studio, Unity, Blender and some other softwares...I wanted to ask, which game engine will be good for it.

Re: Game Engine - Brainles5 - 05.07.2016

Isn't unity good enough for this? Make a online based DM with web based unity?
In early days when 3D graphics card was very expensive i created some 2D platformers, adventures etc Flash games with Macromedia Flash mx. But i think that software is discontinued since 2005

Either Unity or Unreal Engine will do if you want good graphics.

Re: Game Engine - Gammix - 06.07.2016

Unreal engine don't charge you anything i guess. They don't take your royalty.

BTW, Gamemaker is really really simple.

Unreal Engines dev kit is a dog of a thing... So hefty and intense.

It is good, but damn you'd better have a good PC for that.

Re: Game Engine - Lynn - 06.07.2016

I personally prefer the Unity Engine, it's the most user friendly in my experience and the graphic quality is pretty nice. Also doesn't use a lot of resources so a low end computer can run it smoothly.
