why is SA-MP no longer compatible with the steam version and will it ever comeback? -

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post, couldn't find a thread on it nor did I know the proper place.
I played samp about 2 years ago and got really invested into RP servers. My laptop broke and I wasn't able to play it anymore. I finally got a new PC and I wanted to play it but Found it doesn't work. I'd just like to know why and if it's coming back.

It doesn't work because version 3 removes some audio streams, resulting in crashes related to audio streams. Consider purchasing a physical or digital copy.

It has nothing to do with audio streams, but memory addresses. SA-MP is compatible only with GTA SA 1.0 US version.
Consider downgrading Steam Version to 1.0:

Still works, just a different patch:

Did this 2 days ago & works fine.

Yeah, unless you have the downgrader, GTA SA on steam is just a waste of money.
Leaving SA-MP compatibility aside, they removed the best songs from the radio stations.

Speaking of audio, I can't get the Steam version's audio to work on either my desktop or my laptop. It works just fine on my PC disc and the pirate.
