Not really, why you saying that mate?
The problem is all the cnr tends to copy each other and none of them tries to go with something else, server which have "something else" go good.
you see crazybob's server was the first one. And they try to replicate it.

Yes, Zeus is true, before we connect to a new CNR server, we know what is in the server before we even start playing it, that's because all the gamemodes are copied, no difference, So the difference is only the staff team.

Cnr gamemodes nowadays, tend to be -wannabe- CrazyBob's or SACNR servers. THowever, they can't reach this level for dozens of reasons. First of all the community. I recently joined a cnr server which there is a job hitman but at the other hand you can deathmatch freely. What's the point on this? Basically, most CNR servers now are Deathmatch gamemodes with robbing/arresting abilities. They can't reach the top level which Are LSCNR-SFCNR-SACNR-CRAZYBOB'S. They have no new ideas they just put the same things. From the smallest to the biggest thing almost everything is same. I am currently making CNR gamemode and i personally try to add some features to attract player more, or to make it more fancy. You need new ideas to continue with scripts like CNR nowadays. Everything is same time after time.

You're completely right, but adding many CNR features (from the real life) makes the server bad, players don't want the CnR server to be "serious" and hard, they just want to be able to rob stores and arrest people.
CNR doesn't mean that DM isn't allowed, allowing DM will make the players wanted levels high, which brings cops to arrest those DM'ers. Anyways, the opinions are different from person to person.

As Krest mentioned CNR should be completely different case of Deathmatch. For example in SACNR or Crazybob's you can't deathmatch freely but there are certain cases you can kill other people. Also cops are trying to arrest criminals than killing them(like in reality). To sum up, CNR is a very light Roleplay game with glances of Deathmatch at different circumstances.

Just because CNR does not allow you deathmatch people, does not mean it is considered roleplay it's not even close to it.
OT: I lost my taste in CNR, it's pretty old now, you do the same thing over and over again, level up, get guns, arrest or kill. Basic truth of it.

nope its technically roleplaying. youre taking a role of a virtual police officer/criminal and doing what they do in reality although exaggerated.

Maybe. My server (LSCnR) was inspired by BMUK's LVCNR back in like 2007. Of course, many innovations were made since then involving core criminal and arresting systems. Many of which were first created by myself and many created by Lorenc_ of SFCnR. I really gotta hand hand it to Lorenc_, his server truly did create a surge of interest and creativity within the CnR genre. I never played on SACNR (it doesn't really seem all that interesting). And CrazyBob's has stayed the same for as long as I can remember. Although it seems mostly all CnR servers have started to use the simple arresting system of CrazyBob's now (mine included as of recent).
Personally, I don't really care for SA-MP anymore and I'm not active at all. I just released a new update for my server very recently but only after many months of nothing. I believe that many server owners are doing the same.
