Player Age System. - Sledgehammer - 14.06.2015

I'm currently showing a dialog (DIALOG_STYLE_INPUT), requesting players to insert their age in the following syntax:
DD/MM/YYYY

I'm unsure how to make such system. How would I check if they entered the correct syntax, and how old that user is?
