Sorry if this is in the wrong section, if it is, can you point me in the right direction?

I need an idea for a smallish/easyish game mode to make that'll give me lots of learning but won't take me years to make.

Any ideas?

Make a TDM first, you'll practice and learn stuff when trying to make it,
Then RP or any type of server u like :/

I would suggest going for a freeroam project. It can be as complex as you wish, as you can add any feature without the core concept changing.
