Hello people,
I am starting a graphic designer carrer and I have a question
What design program you use or you like ?

Me : I like so much PS CS6 and Illustrator

For professional graphic designers there aren't really many other options than PS/Illustrator/<other Adobe product>. Nothing really comes close.

I like photoshop but obviously your preference depends on what type of work you do. If you do lots of vector work you might use Illustrator.

I don't understand why my post was removed? I only use Pawno, and it's a design program isn't it? I mean you can design anything on it then see your creation in game.

And no I didn't pirate it, I bought the student version for about Ј100 (the whole adobe suite at the time).

Was a pretty good deal!

I've tried using others and honestly I'm just too used to photoshop now, it's the best piece of kit for image editing I've ever used and I'll continue to use it for some time to come.

Or a subscription that's way more affordable. As far as I am concerned there is no full buy option anymore anyways.
If you are hoing to use such pirated software you don't go and try to make money from it.

I'm not totally against it. But this ain't the place to discuss warez anyways.

I don't know where you're getting this from. Even if you worked for Adobe you'd know better than this.

First, could you please link me to 5 court cases where somebody was charged for using a pirated copy of Photoshop? Failing that, could you link me to one?

Second, the 'crime' is committed when you download a pirated copy of the software (and probably share it, if you're using bittorrent). If you use a pirated copy of Photoshop to design something and then earn money from the design work, it's very very unlikely that you would be charged for "making money from pirated software" because that's not really true - you're not directly making money from your pirated Photoshop, and in any case, it would be hard for somebody to prove that you used PS to make something.

I'm not condoning piracy but in a lot of cases, big software companies like Adobe know that their software is going to be pirated by personal users - and they just don't care [enough to chase after 15 year olds with lawsuits]. Why? Because if those people are any good at graphic design, they will probably end up working in some sort of design job. And their design company will have spent thousands of dollars on legal products for 10 or 100 or 1000 computers. If you end up freelancing, you'll probably buy a licence once you start earning decent money because it's the right thing to do.

Same with any software - take Windows for example: you might have a pirated copy of Windows at home, but when you go to work and earn money for your company, you're using a version of Windows that has been paid for. Lots of companies (and schools/universities) who have purchase agreements with software makers also have deals so that their employees can get a legit copy of their software for a fraction of the RRP, which also helps curb piracy.
