Optimize for Windows 8 -
Jack_Leslie - 03.02.2015
Hi guys.
I've just recently got a new second hand laptop, and it's got Windows 8. I've never played SA-MP or even GTA on a Windows 8 laptop, so just wondering if there's anything I can do to make it run real smooth on Windows 8?

What problems are you experiencing?
Also can you run this program:

Then take a screenshot and upload it here please?

I actually haven't tried it yet, I'm still setting up my laptop. I just assumed it wouldn't run to well, with GTA:SA being an old game. How ever if it does in fact run smoothly, and I don't have to do any optimization, that's great news. Thanks guys.

Have Win 8.1 and it runs SA-MP good too, as well as the server can start on Win8,1 good too.

If anything, if it does lag out, change the graphics settings down a bit. Flip down the high detail to medium.
However, I always say Laptops, aren't really for gaming. You can't upgrade them other than RAM/HDD. And the onboard graphics, they sometimes cause problems, as they're not running the "full" amount of video RAM. Most onboard video cards only have a base 64 megs of video ram, or a bit higher, and the rest they rely on through the RAM of the laptop.
Consider looking at a PC in the future if the laptop gives you too much hassle, and simply use it to do your work/browsing/mobile stuff.

It all depends on your computer specifications, regardless the Windows, if you could give us a snippet of your specifications, we could help you and give you a final answer, plus, I have a Core i5 laptop with 4 GB Ram, I had Windows 8.1 Pro on it, to be honest, I believe it was a bit slower than any other Windows, I formatted the laptop and installed Windows 7 on it, and it's
WAY better now, well, good luck, & congrats.
