I suggest you to buy slots from any hosting company, so no need to worry about requirments

VPS's are a good route host multiple things with no problem/extra cost. 1GB ram. 1 CPU Core. At least 100Mbps.
I'd suggest somewhere around 50GB Diskspace.

VPS is better than a hosting company, you don't have to deal with another party to sort out issues.

Not 100% true.

Some serious overestimation. You can run a simple SA-MP server on 128MB RAM, though 256MB would give a bit more breathing room. Also 50GB diskspace? To do what? Even this forum's database with millions of posts and thousands of users would not even exceed 5GB.

Uhm thats because its a database. And your talking about running a linux machine. Most people prefer windows to run their servers. And most windows installations can take up a lot of space.

Some people
May prefer using a Window based server, but a majority of people use Linux, as its the recommended operating system from more "High-profile" scripters, but saying "Most People" is completely incorrect as it has to do with what they're running, what it supports and so on.
