how do you run it?
since you tried reinstalling before, there should be a editor.exe in you GTA SA folder after installation.
go to that folder and run it directly (editor.exe)

//edit lol its not even an installation, just drag n drop :P
drag & drop all the files in gta sa folder and run editor.exe directly

that is exactly how i run it every time, i never have it as a shortcut. it kinda frustrating how it just stops working like this. i run it as standard but have also tried running it as Administrator as well and still have the same result

this is indeed weird.
im sorry but i think that there must be something
wrong with your system

i mean, you said it suddendly stopped working.
you must've changed something, i suggest you
to do a system restore to like... 15 days ago or so..
just try to remember when it worked last and
find a system restore point around that time

the even weirder thing is that i have not changed anything on the system or updated anything as the system is only for scripting and that is all its used for.
