Norton :X -

hi,
i really need some help. A few days ago I installed a trial of Norton 360, and now I am realizing my proxy shit is all fucked up. It traces back to Norton being incorectly configured. How can I correct this?
Due to this,
IE, an shits don't even work anymore. And when I try to get support from norton, it's fucking busy.
Any tips?

Have you tried uninstalling norton? I don't really recommend it. Personally, I'd use G-Data or AVG

Here is a tip: Don't install anti viruses, or firewalls.
They just do more 'damage'.
1 ) They don't detect most of the viruses
2 ) Its useless, they hardly help if you know what you're downloading.
3 ) They use systems resources.
So just uninstall it.

I have uninstalled it. I had Norton once before(how-ever I believe it was a different product. How-ever, my proxy shit is still screwed up, and I don't have any system restore points I guess. I really am stressed :X I.E isn't even working -_- along with some important programs and functions.

Try Firefox browser, it's alot faster than Internet Explorer.

You could try Norton Removal Tool. Should clear any left behind files that could cause an issue like that I would think.

Norton is not the best choice but i am using Windows defender and it's actually good.
Plus i suggest you to use Malwarebytes it's better than my anti virus once i scanned with my anti virus it found nothing then with malware bytes and it found 90+ viruses...
I had some virus i couldn't remove and thanks to malwarebytes it's removed.

You're not totally right.
I've been running Emsisoft Internet security for over a year, and never had issues with them.
Their anti-virus is light, it isn't a resource eater(like Comodo), and runs perfectly.
The Common-Sense doesn't work nowadays, when most of the virus are downloaded without our knownledge, in background, by using browser exploits, or even javascript.
As well, I use Emsisoft because it detects near every malicious software and scripts on the internet.
If I didn't had emsisoft and hitmanpro.alert a few days back, I'm quite sure I would get a cryptolocker + ransomware in my computer.
As well the behavior blocker of emsisoft is awesome.
There are several kind of anti-virus who sucks, and Norton for me, is one of them, Panda antivirus is another, and the one who sucks the best is MCaffee(is that the name?)
