Strange Timer Issue - viper_viper - 05.11.2014

Hello

We seem to have a very strange issue on our server. After about 5 minutes of the server being online, the timers that normally call every second seem to suddenly start being called extremely fast meaning the server is absolutely bombarded with function calls which grinds the server to a halt meaning it won't accept new connections or any commands from us until the server is killed. Also if you are in the game, you can see the clock tick round extremely fast and a whole day will run by in about 20 seconds or so. Also the CPU load rapidly increases during when this happens.

Has anybody else had a similar issue and if so, how did you fix it?
