Game crashes - Mark_Weston - 19.10.2014

Hey there,

I just installed a fresh copy of GTA SA and my game keeps crashing when vehicle damage reaches about 850 - 845, not 100 percent sure.

the funny thing is, I have a modded copy and it does not crash AT ALL, didn't even crash once.

Anyone knows how to fix this crap?

This is my tip of fixing the game from unknown error's and crashes.

That's werid did you try adding the (GTA San Andreas) folder to your desktop and try running it that way might be thinking you have mods installed if it's in the same location.

Give it a try and reply if it's fixed or not.

No, because my modded copy in on my G drive, and my non-modded copy is on my C drive, and I would be able to tell the difference.

Modded copy has 2 ENB's, all new textures, new vegetation, everything is modded even cars.

Its not modded.

Might be a dumb question but.. Do any of your mods have any files in the GTA SA User Files folder in documents? As it's possible that those get mixed and that's where the crash occurs.

Nope, is that even possible to install mods in User docs?

It might be the version of GTA you have, try downgrading the version. If not try recompiling your gta3.img, reset the .dat file . Tell me if that works, if not I suggest just taking your GTASA.exe from your modded version and putting it into your clean version. It also might be the d3dx9 file or w/e

If you installing them within GTA.IMG then use modloader ****** it it's much better less crash i never had a single crash and i have so many mod's its unreal.

To my knowledge You can't start SAMP with anything other other than 1.0, I tried doing that I don't think it did anything

I tried it with my Steam version still crashes when I am around damaged vehicles :/

edit:

hah funny, if I use 1920x1080 it crashes if I use 800x600 it does not crash.

edit:

can be locked, I fixed it.
