Saving information to a DB - Triage - 06.09.2014

I was wondering how I can start off by getting my server to save stats. Such as Money, kills, deaths, location, skin, etc. I want for it to save to like a MySQL database or something along the lines of that and not into the server files. I'm, currently not hosting a server with a company nor is the server port forwarded. It's currently running off 127.0.0.1. So How can I go about doing this. I would really appreciate it!
