It doesn't neccesarily mean that the NVIDIA is the problem, I also have the newest driver and it's working fine for me here. Which windows are you using? Have you tried compability modes and/or running the game as Administrator?

Did you try deleting your gta sa.set in the GTA San Andreas User files? That worked for me when my game kept crashing over something new.

Try renaming your GTA San Andreas directory to something else, that's how I got around my administrative issues on my laptop. If not, download the nvd3dum.dll and put it in your System32 folder.

I suggest Enabling 3D setting if that not work then search msconfig and thrn disable Windows event collector and Third Disable your Antivirus may help.
