Question about my VPS - Printable Version

Question about my VPS - Agent008 - 01.07.2014

Hello guys or girls,

So yeah yesterday i took a vps, just for trying and maybe planning upgrading later. (New in VPS World)

But here my question..... How much slots can i host on this VPS?

128MB RAM
10GB Disk Space
500GB Bandwidth
Linux Debian 7.0 64 bits

I heard 30 slots from a website, but you think 40 or 50 i could handle it?

Depends on whatever else you plan to run. A clean debian installation uses about 80MB RAM so that leaves you with 40MB. I guess 40 players should be doable, granted that no other services are hogging resources.

If you remove all the junk and only host a samp server, that'll leave you with 7mb ram idle, then run the samp server I ran around 90 players using only 100mb ram.

Note: I got 256 MB SWAP too and 10 gb of disk size.

So 40 slots is fine?

I think it could handle upto 50 or 60 slots, so yes.
