To make it as realistic as possible, shutdown your computer, walk outside, and look for a police, steal his weapon, en run into a bank, then shoot at the roof a few times, and tell them you want all their money, then let the police arrest you, and get your way to prison, write down everything you see, few years later when you come out, make a prison roleplay server.

Prison roleplay servers never work out. I suggest not wasting your time on that and doing something more productive.

Make it enjoyable. Actually the few prison RP servers I played got boring after a while because it's always the same...
Some prison gangs are fighting for power while guards are being assholes to the inmates. Nobody gives a crap about getting busted on doing some illegal stuff because you are in prison anyways..
