How to stop floods? - KevinPRINCE - 15.06.2014

I am currently using 0.3z-R2 on a 4 GB RAM Dedicated Windows server with dos protection. Firewalled all ports expect those I am using, so only the ports of my servers are open. However people some how still can hang the server with attacking the port which supposedly was fixed on 0.3z-R2 by Kalcor. I temporarily blocked it so it won't work, however how do I permanently avoid these attacks? Can redirecting port work? Or will the attack also redirect to that port? Thank you for your help.

Get a host with hardware DDoS protection. I.E OVH
