Certain objects crashing - Emmet_ - 05.06.2014

Hey,

So me and a few players started experiencing abrupt crashes in a server I was playing on. Anybody who entered a certain area would always have their game crash, period.

This is until I did some investigation, and found out that some gates were created in the area, prior to the crashes. These were the exact models that were used (not my pictures, credits to gta-sa-mp.de).




The models are 17951 and 3294, respectively. I found out that these particular object models cause crashes for others who tend to use them with objects.

Perhaps the crashes are being caused by the game misinterpreting them as single player garage doors (for example, the one near CJ's house), and when a player gets close to these doors then the game tries to open the "door", but instead it glitches and ends up crashing.

Any confirmation on this?

Yes, maybe! How-ever, it is well documented that these cause crashes, even with MTA! So, it isn't caused by SA-MP, so perhaps thats whats happening.

The gates near CJ's house do not crash. However, It's not a SA-MP problem. Even MTA:SA crashes so just ignore those objects as of now.

Garage doors and roof scoops crash players. Because when the game streams this object, it attemps to move it or some sort.

17951 hasn't crashed anyone on my server. Maybe because i'm using them in interiors? It shouldn't affect anything though.
