Hello guys,
This is my first post in the SA-MP Forum. I'll try short introducing myself first of all.
I'm a 17 Aged boy who plays SA-MP For 2 years till now. I never bothered making a account but now, I need to ask question;
- Right, first of all, I port forwarded a Port, I checked the port via port checker where I got from portforward.com
- It said, the port is running, but, I use windows 7 and I want to ask how does this Windows Firewall with Server works?
- And is it something similar that while forwarding SA-MP server, you should select UDP or TCP w/e?
Thanks for your time, please, read this and answer my questions.
-Greetings,
Ben.

Go to your firewall.
Then Exceptions and in that Allow sa-mp server.exe to send the data from your computer and receive data from out. Though it doesn't block your ports or what ever.
In server.cfg
Change
announce to
1
query to
1
lanmode to
0
Then launch sa-mp server.exe.

What do you mean, Patrol?
EDIT: You mean have I checked my server in SAMP? Well, I went to whatsmyip.org, copied that IP and added :7777 infront of it [the port I forwarded correctly] and I started samp-server.exe, all it came was "Retreiving INfo, blah blah"
Please, help me. I'm using Windows 7 Professional. If it has anything related to Firewall, describe me in Windows 7 way.

Oye yar,
Ports are opened?
7777
Or you live in pakistan so, IP is public sometimes because i'ev been there.
Just allow sa-mp server in firewall > Exceptions > sa-mp server.exe
And if it is already opened.
Go to
www.ipchicken.com and see your public ip adress.
Or
Open Run.exe > type "cmd" without quotes.
In command prompt type > ipconfig

Use samp server checker, you won't be able to connect to your server via external IP from your own connection.
