Hi everyone !

I have some questions about my server security.

In fact, I was on my console (the famous black screen) and few minutes later I saw a person with the tag [b0t] who connects/disconnects/connects/disconnects... But I didn't see him in the server. Strange... I ban the IP and I think it's okay now.

Last night, I saw, always in the console, an IP who tries to connect in /rcon but in the server : nothing. I ban the IP several times, but he is always here... Strange, because I put a security (one wrong attempt =immediatly ban) and I have /rcon banip him. I check this IP in ****** and it seems to be Russian...

First, I want an explanation about that if possible

Then, I wish your tips to secure your server. Maybe in the script ? Maybe with your hosting service ? Anything else?

If you have access to your firewall settings, you could add an entry to re-direct connections coming from that IP to some non-existing address.
Anyone else can connect properly, but that specific IP would get timeouts.
