I had a player join my server and asked if it is a refunding server...

What is a refunding server?

refunding that means they give free things for players (money/cars)

1) The word refunding means - "pay back (to), typically to a person (customer) who is not satisfied with goods or services bought."

2) In context of SA-MP servers, it is wrongly used!

3) It's a thing where you give player's everything as soon as they register instead of what they usually get after playing for a long time. You give a newly registered player a VIP status. (rolleyes)

Oh ok, so for example they get like free gifts after having X amount of playing hours?

maybe yes, depends on the staff team in the server and owner what he will decide to give thier players.

No, they give out stuff because they came from another server and joined yours. So now they expect a reward for it. It depends on the server but most refunds are given using a screenshot from the previous server, giving everything back that she/he had on that server.

It means the player is greedy and unwilling to work towards making your community a better place. I hope the player left again.

Nah... It's just an over-used way of saying "Welcome! Here's everything that makes the server fun!". It's basically like giving a newb admin... Don't do it!

It's kinda for example he was playing X server and had 500k$, 500 score, total 5 slot house and 5 cars. He asks you to give these stats on your server so he will play on your server.

I personally do not recommend giving refunds, because this will rape other players fun. Also if you start giving refunds, it will be easy to abuse like: Create local server, set your money like 41618546461, set your score like 65456 etc.

But if you still mind giving refunds just be sure don't giving it just for screenshot. Join the server that he expects refund from and see if it's a real server.
