My friend created a forum from forumotion and he get a free .net domain how to do that?.

can't ask him his offline :/

Register at the free domain site, and send the domain to your forum.
In other words, the domain site will require you to put the forum where you desire to put the domain. Write your forum url there and you can test it later.

Go to http://www.proboards.com/
I have a forum there, really easy to set up and look great.
You must purchase a url if you want an address like www.example.com but if you want a .net one you can have something like example.boards.net for FREE.
