Difficulty installing SA:MP on Windows 8 (Steam version) -
MapleGaming - 14.02.2014
So I got San Andreas on Steam, I ran it perfectly for quite some time on my Windows 7 computer before it broke and I got a Windows 8.
I did all the things necessary for installing SA:MP on a Steam version of San Andreas (Moving the no CD crack into the directory, etc.) however, when I open the SA:MP installer and it requests a destination to install, when I go to my SA:MP directory and click on it, the *install* button doesn't highlight, thus making me unable to install it there.
I've tried many things, such as:
*Renaming my common folder to Rockstar Games
*Moved my SA:MP directory to different locations on my computer like desktop.
*Ran the SA:MP installer as administrator.
*Re-downloaded both San Andreas and the SA:MP installer several times.
Please help
(Yes, I did spend quite some time in the ******-sphere attempting to solve this for myself.)

Basically there's a fix for those who cant use 0.3z on Windows 8, the reason is because of Windows SmartScreen which is a security firewall which doesnt let you install unknown applications therefore you'd need to turn it off and then try and install 0.3z again, hope that works > REP+ if I helped?
