Hello, guys.

So for some time.. At least a good few years I've been using Volt-Host to host all of my servers, for one and only reason. They have a custom built control panel & allow complete rights to uploading .dll's / .so's unlike other hosts in which you have to request either the host to add them, or zip them up and email them to the company for the themselves to un-zip for you.

Recently, Volt-Host has came under quite a number of heavy attacks with DDoS'ing which never used to happen. Upon contacting them, what used to be a brilliant customer service, now seems like it's a "hit or miss" opportunity in actually getting a response. The servers I pay for, are offline more than they actually are online. So I've finally came to the conclusion that I should probably invest my money towards another host. I'm simply wondering who you fellow scripters are with or who you'd recommend going with, and if it's not much to ask, give me a few pointers on why?

I did actually use the search button before you assume what actions I took before coming ahead and making this post, however many topics are at least a year if not more older & as stated above, I said something along the lines that Volt-Host USED to be good, meaning they have changed since the days that I originally went with them. Nothing is stopping these out-dated threads recommending out-dated hosts. So I decided to get a more up to date analysis on which is best. Next time instead of making a pointless post based on your assumptions, maybe you could just help out with the question at hand instead of forwarding it somewhere else. Appreciate the feedback though. Thank you.

I recommend you http://pingperfect.com, as it has DDoS Protected servers, 24/7 support via tickets / skype / live-chat, and other contacts like xfire, steam.

So far prices are great there, same as the control panel! I would recommend to pick the French location.

Personally I tried this server out a few weeks ago, and I never liked their control panel, let alone the fact you had to request for a MySQL database. It totally slowed me down on getting my own server back up and running, waiting on staff to reply. Prices are great though! That was an upside to them!

How much roughly would that cost and what kind of specifications in relation to hardware would I be looking for?

I checked out their site! Definitely seems interested, in regards to uploading plugins and MySQL database? Do they require you to request for a MySQL database if needed?

if you want cheap, you can get good kvm(awesome virtualization) for like 9€, a lot of bandwidth, gigabit network, not much space in HD(but you won't be needing much for samp anyways), and the ram memory is 1gb and cpu is core i7.

Definitely reckon you have bought me on this... I hadn't heard of these guys until now, however I'm going to try them out! Windows or Linux?
Just purchased from them myself, still waiting on the email to do with the database, however. My server runs off MySQL
