My question is: Are bitly or other URL shorting links allowed in this forum?

The Forum Rules don't mention that it is against the rules. UNLESS IT IS A WAY TO MAKE MONEY!

The link can't violate any of the forum rules (no illegal content, scams, etc). Also you should always post what the link is, don't try to make us click the link without giving us any idea on what lies on the other side.

However, since there is no particular limit on post lengths, why use them at all? Just use direct original links instead so that people can see where it goes before clicking it.

adf.ly is mainly used to earn 1$ per 1000 clicks? So why not?

I personally always drop my eyes abit down to see where each link leads, and if you would make something under short url, I would never click.

Samp and the forum dont gain any money from you, so why should you gain money from samp?

I use to use http://mauzen.org/h.php for simply getting stats about the link usage. Everyone feel free to use that too.

i think the point of making shorting links is to be easy to type like example(http://po.ta.to) or like y-less shorter

or something like 4char to be more attractive then why making it http://mauzen.org/h.php ?
