How do I get a SA-MP IP (i.e. samp.revolutionrp.net) - CharlieGamble - 19.01.2014
So, I've been wondering since my server has been up about how to get a IP like some other servers.
My current IP is just numbers, and I really would like to know how to get a SAMP ip, for example; samp.revolutionrp.net
If anyone knows how one does this, feel free to explain it to me

Create a subdomain (A-record) pointing at your server IP.

Purchase a domain first.

I have a domain, I'm trying to find out how to create a "A-Record" as the guy above said so I can point it at my server IP.
How do I do this?

1. Go to your cPanel (www.yoursite.com:2082)
2. Navigate down to the "Domains" section
3. Click "Simple DNS Zone Editor"
4. You will be using "Add an A Record" for this.
5. Put what you would like as your address in the "Name" field (Ex: samp.yoursite.com, only put samp, not your site URL as it will automatically do it for you)
6. Put your server IP, not port, IP only in the "Address" Field
7. Click "Add a record"
