[0.3z] Autoaim -

Now since 0.3z is released and there's no lag shooting, how are we (Server developers) expected to tackle auto-aim?

Right question.
I think there will come an Anti-AutoAim script.

You can use the OnPlayerWeaponShot callback to track the accuracy of players. If every one of their shots hits a player, something dodgy is probably going on.

What if he is really good? Also some weapons such as Desert Eagle does a lot of damage per hit, and chances are if they are really good, those few shots will hit every time.

Auto-aim by joypad is detectable but by a mod is impossible to be 100% sure.

Fortunately, ammo isn't very important in GTA, so even really good players don't really care that a few shots might miss. This will dramatically reduce their accuracy (as a statistic), but it doesn't matter - as long as they're hitting the player reasonably consistently. Aimbotters, on the other hand, will have an accuracy of >80% or >90%.
But I'm sure there will be a better way of detecting this, and I'm sure people will figure it out. My suggestion was just a really simple indicator you could use to flag people as potentially using an aimbot.

All and all, I'm just glad SA-MP (shooting part, at least) will soon be completely normal like other online-shooting games. I've been waiting for this a long time to advertise this mod to my heavy-shooting-gamer friends without the shame of me needing to teach them to lag-shoot when the other online-shooting games they play do not.
