Hello i am thinking of adding a prison here and want to know if you can make this object open. (The red door / gate thing)

No, you can't! You can make a command /enter there and teleport into some interior or whatever you want.
Also you can delete this building and make a new one with gate which is openable, but thats a lot of work.
