I need big help - dominik523 - 13.01.2014

Hello everyone! I got free host at one hosting company and my server was running yesterday all the time. When I went to control panel at 8 PM yesterday, I saw something really weird. My server got attacked by some random guy how was, I guess, randomly going on some servers and attack them. This is from my console:

I have some questions to ask because I have no experience with hackers.
Was that guy hacking with flooding and fake killing? If so, can I prevent that on my server somehow?
And one more question which really scares me. I guess that guy started DoS attack after that all hacking but my server was still running without any problems. I think this DoS attack wasn't big enough to mess things up. Am I right?
