Choosing a gaming headset -

Alright Christmas is near. I'll be getting some money and I am looking for a great headset WORTH the money. I'll be getting in total around Ј300 and don't want to spend all of that. I want a headset which will provide nice clear Loud audio, with good surround sound along with keeping the audio inside the headset itself instead of leaking it out.
I already have Triton AX Pro's. There great just arn't good for surround sound and not loud enough.
I have been looking at the following;
-Sennheiser 363D = Ј210
-Tritton 720+ = Ј110
I like the sennhiser and heard it's had good reviews. You get a HD sound card along with it, comfortable and everything and is good sound quaility. I also heard though about the side vents leaking out the audio. I don't want audio leaking out of the headset. Is this true? And which headset do you guys recommend getting?

Woooooooh, isn't that little bit too much for headset? especially if you need them for gaming... I mean for crying out loud, all you gonna hear from them is some shooting + dubstep. For that money you can get things like Oculus rift, things that could actually make things fun, instead of listening to some kids trash talking in HQ.

Exactly. I don't know why kids waste money on such things. I guess it's a new craze and I'm sure that will end soon..

They're not a "waste of money", nor is it a type of craze either....
People simply buy them for better sound quality and a more comfortable feeling. Shit, I rather spend $60 on a good headset then spend $10 dollars on a shitty pair from Walmart that feels uncomfortable and sounds like shit. Right?!

Well if you don't care about having shit sound sound/build quality, horrible comfort, and a sub-par microphone, then yeah a Turtle Beach headset will work just fine. Just be prepared to buy one once every year or so.

How are you so damn sure it's not a craze? You can't be sure for that.

Because people simply choose to buy it. It's THEIR opinion and THEY will choose to pay how much they want for it, just like people spend $500+ for an item that normally costs under $50 (cellphones, watches, jewelery, and other things too).

I prefer simply hear everything from my headset instead of wasting 300 bucks on extra bass or some studio equipment which I do not need to play call of duty...
I mean COME ON! I paid 220 bucks for my PS3 GTA V bundle, how stupid should I feel when I'm wasting so much money on equipment which doesn't really make any difference... compared to the other things which I can afford with that amount of money.
PS: I'm paying 10 bucks for my ear buds, they seem to work just fine, I change them like every 2 month or so.

If you've never had the experience of using top quality headphones then of course your $10 ear buds are going to sound good.
I've just recently I bought some $380 Astro A50's. as a regular Arma player I need these top stay at the tops of the leader-boards. I can hear the sound of car doors opening 100-300m away, the rustling of a player sneaking up behind me and the direct location of a reloaded magazine with pinpoint accuracy. I could probably 1v1 anyone with ear buds or a low quality headset, blindfolded and beat them
In-fact 95% of the time I hear players before they even see me.
Sound matters a huge amount in games. Compared to my Logitech Z5500's which is the top of the range Logitech sound system, I can hear sounds you would never hear otherwise without a real headset.

It's certainly not a craze. I've made it one of my top priorities for the past few years to make sure I have a good quality headset for gaming, as do hundreds and thousands of other people. I couldn't imagine using my PC without them and I never would play a game without them.
